Conjurations 2011

What’s new in 2011 and how you can help
Last year, Conjurations 2010 was a smashing success. With a great new location and an amazing lineup of roleplaying games, boardgames, miniatures, wargames, CCGs, and other events... there was always much to choose from and fun to be had by all. This is just one reason why we are doing it again in 2011.
The Location
We are pleased to report that Conjurations 2011 will be held once again at the Church of St. John The Evangelist (“The Red Roof Church”). Located at 137 Avenue du Président Kennedy in Downtown Montreal. We are even more pleased to report that the road construction and repairs on the streets surrounding the church are complete, making the location even more accessible than ever before.
Online Sign-Up Services
Attendees, game players, DMs, and GMs who would like to attend Conjurations 2011, have 2 or 3 ways to register in advance online.
- By sending us an email.
- Sign-up at the door while space is available but we encourage attendees to make their reservations in advance.
- GMs and DMs can use Book an Event in the menu at the left.
Sign-Up for Players
Participants can easily sign up for any events they see listed on the website and reserve their place in advance. This encourages the gamemasters and the people running the events to be prepared, since they will know ahead of time how many players and participants they can expect for their event. Simply send us a message by using our Contact Us page.
Sign-Up for Gamemasters and Event Runners
With players reserving their places at your games and events before the con’ begins, you can prepare your games and your events with full confidence that people will be there to take part. Sign up sheets will always be available on-site for additional players and participants if you can accommodate more. We encourage DMs to list their event in advance by simply sending us an email or message through our Contact Us page.
Our online event list will allow you to specify if your game has any special requirements: electricity, audio-visual, large tables, whiteboard, and so on. You will still need to bring your own equipment, but letting us know what you are going to bring in advance permits us allocate the best and most convenient table for your event.
New regulations
All the responses and feedback that we received from the volunteers and the participants who attended Conjurations 2010 was very helpful. In recognition of this, some new rules and regulations will be put in place. We hope that these will enhance your experience in 2011.
New in 2011: All tables will be numbered and all games and events will be assigned to specific numbered tables. This makes it easiest for players and participants to find their events.
The convention organizers will be able to a maximum number of participants per event. This will vary from 4 to 6 players depending on what you prefer. It’s great to have as many players as possible at the gaming table, but it’s even better when there is a variety of active games going on in every time slot; and it’s so much more fair to the volunteers who run these events.
Leave no GM behind: Steps will be taken to ensure that there are participants available for every event.
Incentives
Every step that every participant, GM, and event organizer takes to encourage people to come to Conjurations 2011 will be welcomed. To encourage this, we will offer the chance to get free stuff for anyone who does one or more of the following:
